Delete your Hiyd account

You can delete your Hiyd account and every health measurement tied to it. Deletion is permanent — we can't restore an account once it's gone.

01 — Choose a routeTwo ways to delete

Both routes delete the same data. The in-app route is faster; the web route is here if you no longer have the app installed.

In the app

Delete it yourself

  1. Open the Hiyd app and go to Profile.
  2. Tap Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm with your password or Face ID.
On the web

Request deletion

  1. Email us from the address on your Hiyd account.
  2. Include the subject line Delete my account.
  3. We reply within one business day with a verification link.
  4. Click the link to confirm.

We verify before we delete. Because your Hiyd account holds health measurements, we confirm the request came from you before anything is erased. If you email from an address that isn't on the account, we'll ask you to verify another way.

02 — SequenceWhat happens, and when

  1. Immediately Account closedYou're signed out on every device. Your Hiyd sensor stops syncing and unpairs on next connection.
  2. Within 24h Data hiddenYour profile and measurements are removed from all Hiyd services and are no longer visible or recoverable by you or by us.
  3. Within 30 days Live systems purgedRecords are permanently erased from production databases and file storage.
  4. Within 90 days Backups expireEncrypted backups roll off on their normal cycle. We don't restore deleted accounts from backup.

03 — ScopeWhat gets deleted

Everything below is erased permanently.

Deleted
Account details Name, email address, password hash, date of birth, sign-in identifiers, and any linked Apple or Google sign-in.
Body metrics Height, weight, sex, resting heart rate baseline, and anything else you entered in your profile.
Raw sensor data PPG waveforms, accelerometer streams, and the raw signal files captured by your Hiyd sensor.
Derived health metrics Heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages and duration, respiratory rate, VO₂max estimates, and every Recovery, Strain, and Stress score in your history.
Device and watch records Sensor serial number, firmware version, pairing history, and the watch profile you configured.
App activity Notification settings, in-app preferences, and analytics events tied to your account.
Support history Messages you've sent to Hiyd support, unless we're required to keep them for a legal claim.

04 — ExceptionsWhat we keep, and for how long

A small amount of data outlives your account. None of it can be used to identify you, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Retained
Purchase and tax records Order number, amount, and date. Required by tax and accounting law. Not linked to your health data. 7 years
Fraud and abuse signals A one-way hash of your email, used only to block repeat abuse of free trials and warranty claims. 24 months
Aggregate product statistics Counts and averages already pooled across users. Contains no record of any individual and can't be traced back to you. Indefinite
Encrypted backups Snapshots that already contained your data, pending their normal expiry. Never restored to serve a deleted account. 90 days
Legal hold If a dispute, investigation, or regulatory obligation is active, we keep only what's needed and delete it as soon as the obligation ends. As required

05 — Before you deleteThree things to handle first

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your Hiyd account does not cancel a subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings first, or you'll keep being charged.

Export your data if you want a copy

Go to Settings → Data → Export to download your full measurement history as CSV before you delete. We can't produce an export after deletion.

Deletion doesn't void your warranty

Your Hiyd sensor stays under warranty. Keep your order number — you'll need it for a claim, and we won't be able to look it up by your email once the account is gone.

06 — Other optionsIf you don't want to delete everything

  • Delete specific data only. Email support@hiyd.ai and tell us which date range or metric to remove. Your account stays open.
  • Stop syncing. Turn off background sync in Settings → Device to keep the account without adding new measurements.
  • Turn off analytics. Settings → Privacy → Product analytics stops usage data collection immediately.

07 — Your rightsRegional privacy rights

Deletion under this page satisfies the following requests, and there's no charge either way.

  • EU and UK (GDPR). Right to erasure under Article 17. We respond within 30 days.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA). Right to delete personal information. We won't discriminate against you for exercising it.
  • Canada (PIPEDA). Right to withdraw consent and request deletion of personal information.
  • Everywhere else. We apply the same process regardless of where you live.
